“YOU DID NOT CHOOSE ME, BUT I CHOSE YOU!!

If you ask most Christians today why they believe, they will usually say that they have chosen to. If we look at the verse above, we see clearly that Jesus says this is not true. He chose us!!

Our response then should be to try and find out as much as we can about Jesus, his teachings, and how they translate into today’s world.

But that means Bible study, and that’s boring; weekly meetings to look at a stuffy chapter; which has to be done in a certain time; with no time for discussion! Just someone who knows all the answers telling us what we should believe! And how can Bible study tell us about the teachings of Jesus? Most of it is before he was born, and then most of the rest is one man’s interpretation after he died. And he never even met him!!

This website is intended to make a small contribution to overcoming these problems. It contains a weekly reflection on the Gospel reading for the week. This has questions built in, but no answers. They are for you alone or with your friends to decide what is right. It also contains details of bible study courses based on the Gospels only. Again they are purposely controversial, but based purely on the words of Jesus. Also, there is a section with ideas for drama, a good way to share ideas. The number of these will grow in time. Also the first chapter of the book that led to this idea, Chosen or Frozen! Inspired by the verse at the top of the page, you are chosen, but have you become frozen into a church that appears to have altered the teachings over the centuries.
